Some students plays dodgeball at the playground. One of the students kicks the dodgeball to the little girl. The little girl blocks the attack with her hand. But her teacher tells her that she’s out. She complains it to him that the girls’ playground is too small.

No Gain, No Love: Episode 1 Recap

The little girl Hae-Young returns home. But her mother brings some kids home. Hae-Young isn’t happy. She eats with her mother and the boy at the restaurant. But her mother shares her noodles with the boy. She returns home again. She sees her mother having fun with the little girl in the yard. She takes a look at the injury on her leg. She cries. She returns home and she hears the baby’s crying. She leaves home.

We return to the present. Hae-Young tells her name to her teacher. The girl walks into the wedding room when the couples are taking wedding photos. Hae-Young grows up to be a beautiful lady. She shows up in the wedding hall. She tries to take out the case from her wallet.

Eun-Young joins Hae-Young. She reminds her that the groom Woo-Jae is her colleague. She persuades her to give more money. Hae-Young walks to Woo-Jae. He’s happy to see her. We learn that he’s her ex-boyfriend. The two are polite to each other. But they satirize each other in their heart.

Ji-Wook gets an interview with the interviewees. He brings a trouble and he apologizes to them. Because he didn’t plan to get a job. Hae-Young is with Eun-Young at the wedding. We learn that Woo-Jae chose the bride Yi-Lin because she’s rich.

Hae-Young gets a call from her mother Eun-Ok. Eun-Ok is in the ward. She’s demented. The nurse asks Hae-Young to visit her mother. Hae-Young walks out of the room when the wedding begins. She looks at the groom and the bride. She thinks they’re match.

We go to six months ago. Hae-Young runs into Woo-Jae at the parking lot. She dumps him and she tells him that she doesn’t have feelings for him anymore. He tries to chase her. But he trips. His hand is hurt. She dresses his wound. He complains it to her that he will miss her when he parks his car. She’s cold to leave. He cries when he sits on the floor.

We return to the wedding. Hae-Young drinks the wine. She takes a look at the ring photo on the screen. She learns that it’s one-year anniversary. She remembers she dumped Woo-Jae six months ago. She realizes that he two-timed her. We go to the parking lot again. Woo-Jae is happy to take out the couple rings after Hae-Young left.

Hae-Young is furious to grab the tablecloth. She stands up and she takes away the tablecloth. The guests at the table are startled. Hae-Young wears the tablecloth. She walks forward. She grabs the veil and the flowers. She puts on the veil. She joins Woo-Jae. She tells him that she has known he two-timed her. She takes group photos with him and the bride.

We go to the kitchen. The girl Ja-Yeon is going to sleep with her boss on the food. But Hee-Sung calls Ja-Yeon back. Ja-Yeon is in the room to write the novel. Ja-Yeon learns that Hee-Sung slept with a man on the glass. She follows her to the living room. She tastes the food and she mentions Hae-Young.

Hae-Young comes home. She puts a big box on the table. She reveals her boyfriend two-timed her. Hee-Sung gets angry. Hae-Young opens the box. The three girls hold knifes. They smile at the stuff in the box wickedly. Woo-Jae’s head is in the box. He opens his eyes. It startles the three girls. Hae-Young’s sisters blame Hae-Young for taking back the bouquet.

We return to the wedding. Hae-Young tries to walk to Woo-Jae. But the staff member arranges her to stand with the bride. She gets the bouquet then. Hae-Young regrets for losing her money. Hee-Sung comforts Hae-Young that she will get the money back if she marries. He reveals Hae-Young dumped the guy because she thought he will fail.

Ji-Wook returns the clothes to the cop. He leaves. The cop tells his colleague that he doesn’t like Ji-Wook. Because Ji-Wook caught many culprits and the people think he’s an angel. Hae-Young goes out with Hee-Sung. Hee-Sung offers to go to see their mother. But Hae-Young rejects it because they need to fix the house. Hee-Sung brings up the convenience store guy.

Hae-Young thinks the guy is a rabid dog. She decides to go to see him. She arrives at the convenience store when the guy Ji-Wook is cleaning the window. She leaves her handprints on the window and she walks into the store. She buys the milk and a pack of cigarettes. She finds out that he’s jobless. He claims that he will get a job when she marries.

Ja-Yeon is writing the episode in her room. She goes to sleep. Someone texts her and she asks her to check the comments. Ja-Yeon reads the comment. She finds out that there was a fan liking her plot. Jung-A eats with her husband Ki-Ho and her son Gyu-Hyun at home.

Jung-A is very happy when she reads Ja-Yeon’s novel. We learn that Jung-A is Ja-Yeon’s fan. Jung-A brings up that the president only loved the girl in the novel. She hints at him that he had a woman outside. Gyu-Hyun tries to leave for a meeting. But Ki-Ho scolds him. He asks him about his manner. Jung-A stops her husband. She tells her son that his father is a good chairman.

Ki-Ho finds the newspapers outside the garage. He mentions the news that Gyu-Hyun’s company is the second. He asks Gyu-Hyun to get married if he cannot make the company be the top 1. Ha-Joon is writing the letter in the office. He asks for transferring to the service department.

Gyu-Hyun shows up. Ha-Joon tries to tell his demand to Gyu-Hyun. But Gyu-Hyun ignores him. Ha-Joon thinks it’s not a good day. But he sends the letter by mistake. Gyu-Hyun summons Ha-Joon. Ha-Joon takes out his resignation letter from the drawer.

He walks into Gyu-Hyun’s office. Gyu-Hyun reveals the chairman asked him to help the company be the top 1. Ha-Joon hints at Gyu-Hyun that they can let someone do the job. Hae-Young passes by the convenience store. She sees Ji-Wook eating the jelly.

She runs into the store. But she finds out that there’s no jelly in the store. She walks out of the store. She’s told that the jelly Ji-Wook is eating is the last one. She throws a fit to the guy. She leaves. She returns to the company. She’s told that marriage has many benefits. She asks Woo-Jae for a talk.

Hae-Young and Woo-Jae are in the room. Hae-Young asks Woo-Jae for the money she paid him. He promises to return the money to her. But he asks her to get married first. We go to six months ago. Hae-Young brings the water to Woo-Jae outside the restaurant.

He’s drunk and he’s happy after he became a manager. He learns his head on her shoulder. He thinks she needs to take care of her mother. We return to the present. Hae-Young calls Woo-Jae when she’s at the mall. She asks him to pay her. He rejects it but he finds out that she’s meeting with his wife. He runs out of his company. He tries to get in the elevator. But the elevator is full.

Woo-Jae runs downstairs. He finds Hae-Young and Yi-Lin in the lobby. He joins the two girls. He’s nervous. But he finds out that Hae-Young just gave his wife a candle holder. He begs her then. Gyu-Hyun and Ha-Joon are in the lobby. Ha-Joon gives Gyu-Hyun a great idea that letting the employees develop the company. But Gyu-Hyum lets Ha-Joon continue to be his secretary. Because he thinks he got talent.

Hae-Young returns to the office. She learns that there’s an in-house contest. She wants to catch the chance because she thinks she will be promoted. But she’s told that she cannot take part in the contest. Because she’s not married.

Ji-Wook is working in the convenience store. Hae-Young shows up. She buys some drinks. She leaves the store. She drinks outside and she complains about the marriage. Ji-Wook is putting the drink on the shelf in the store. He has an eye contact with Hae-Young. She asks him to marry her.

Ji-Wook was feeding the cat in the store. He heard Woo-Jae talking about Hae-Young’s mother with Hae-Young. He overheard it. He walked out of the store and he joined Hae-Young after Woo-Jae left. He gave her the cigarette and he lighted the cigarette for her.
